MERU COUNTY VS LEOPARD ROCK HOTEL.

Meru Senator Hon. Kathuri Murungi has said the Senate moved to save Meru County funds after rejecting a request by the National Treasury to withhold the allocation. The Senate Committee on Budget and Finance instead recommended that the National Government provide a conditional grant of Kshs. 139 million to clear the balance owed to the Leopard Rock Hotel investor, including accrued interest, with senators saying the move will ensure continued delivery of essential services to Meru residents.
