So my husband built this toilet paper holder and I'm dying 😂 He spent THREE HOURS measuring, cutting, and installing it like he was crafting the Crown Jewels. Meanwhile, I'm thinking "honey, it's toilet paper, not fine art." But he was so proud, posting progress pics in his woodworking groups on the Tedooo app, getting advice on the "perfect curve radius" for optimal roll dispensing. I didn't have the heart to tell him it looked like a fancy toilet paper limousine.
Plot twist: I actually love it now. It's the most extra thing in our bathroom and somehow that makes it perfect. Our guests always comment on it, and my husband gets this big grin like he's just been complimented on his Nobel Prize acceptance speech. The kids think we're the fanciest family in the neighborhood because we have a "toilet paper throne." Sometimes the most ridiculous projects bring the most joy - and yes, I'm ordering custom toilet paper holders from him for Christmas gifts this year! 🧻✨

Yesterday I went to my local bank branch in my town, where I have an account. My son has a damaged £10 note and had read that banks will exchange them.

When I walked into the branch I noticed that all of the usual cash counters had been removed and had been replaced by a lady with a laptop.

The lady said it would be fine to exchange the £10 however, this branch has no actual cash to exchange it for me.

I’ve since reflected on this. A large well known bank branch in a large town has no cash on site. Cash is no longer king?🤔
