Welcome to the Launch of ecotourism gem in the heart of Mbui Nzau Hills. On Saturday 14th Makueni County will unveil the longest hiking trail in the region stretching over 15 km one way (30 km round trip) right at the top of these breathtaking hills.
From the hills summit, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of Mombasa road and SGR, the majestic volcanic lava flow from the Chyullu Hills with the iconic Mt. Kilimanjaro rising from a distance. To the East of the hills is the vast and ancient Yatta Plateau while the scenic Nzaui, Kilungu, and Mbooni Hills boast to the North.
We can’t wait to showcase Mbui Nzau’s endless caves, natural springs, variety of wild animals and the rare and striking Aloe Kibweziensis trees.
