Heartbreaking update🥲; A humble family in Narok was struck by a devastating tragedy.
Shadrack Parusei, now a single father, was left to raise his three young daughters after his wife left the marriage. One of the children, the late Sylvia Chepkemoi, was born with a disability. Despite overwhelming financial struggles, Shadrack did all he could to seek medical treatment for her, including regular visits to Tenwek Mission Hospital.
A glimmer of hope had recently emerged, Tenwek Hospital had planned to provide a custom-made wheelchair for Sylvia. A Good Samaritan, through Josea Kerich’s Kasarta Koni show, had already donated a wheelchair, and arrangements were in place for it to be collected on Friday. Tragically, Sylvia passed away on Thursday, just one day before the wheelchair could reach her.
The family faced severe financial hardship and was unable to afford mortuary services. Friday was spent trying to contact the children’s mother, who, after family discussions, gave her consent for the burial. Sylvia was laid to rest in a simple ceremony on a rainy Saturday afternoon in Kapweria, Chepnyaliliet village, Transmara East, Narok County.
The funeral reflected the family's difficult situation, a handmade wooden casket, polythene sheets used as a makeshift tent, and a grieving father doing his best to stay strong for his surviving daughters💔
This is a heartfelt appeal to well-wishers, friends, and anyone touched by this story. Shadrack Parusei is currently unemployed and relies on casual jobs, including bodaboda transport, to support his family. In this time of deep sorrow, he urgently needs help to rebuild and care for his children.
Let us not allow this pain to go unnoticed. Let us stand in solidarity with Mr. parusei.
My condolences and sympathies to the family of Parusei🙏
