If you are frustrated in your prayer life and wondering whether your prayers are really effective, then cry out from your heart, "Lord, teach me to pray!"

Yes, to believe bigger is going to cost you something. It’s easy to stay comfortable. It’s easy to live average, but you can’t become who you were created to be with average faith. God is looking for great faith. He’s looking for people that will cause Him to marvel. To say, “Wow, look at what they believe I can do. They believe they can get well despite the diagnoses. They believe they can have a blessed year despite the economy. They believe they can start that business, that their family will be restored.” Great faith gets God’s attention.

The Lord Christ doesn’t want us to merely know about God’s love, but also to have personal experience with it, because encounters with His love are much better than mere knowledge. Knowing God’s love in this practical and personal way makes us bold in prayer, and seeing answers to our prayers helps us know even more deeply the great and endless love of God.

_There is never one moment in our lives when God doesn’t love us. He reveals His love to us in many ways, but sadly, we may be unaware of it, or even worse, we may become so accustomed to the many things that God does for us that we begin to take them for granted.

By His grace, God always provides everything we need, and He never asks us to do for anyone else what He has not first done for us.

He gives us mercy and asks us to give it to others, He forgives us and asks us to forgive, and He is kind and asks us to be the same. He loves us unconditionally and asks us to love in the same way.

Always remember that the more time you spend receiving and abiding in God’s love, the more you will be able to let it flow through you to other people.

God doesn’t want you to live off of old victories. Yes, we can celebrate and be grateful for what He's done, but He has some new victories. He’s taking you from glory to glory. What’s in your future is going to supersede anything you’ve seen in the past. That’s why we can live with expectancy, excited when others are down, hopeful when others are discouraged, praising when others are complaining. We know His favor is for a lifetime; we haven’t seen our best days.

God wants to use you in amazing ways, bring dreams to pass that leave you in awe, take you places that you never thought possible. How does this happen? Through great faith. It’s on the inside of you right now. Have you awakened it? Or are you just living with comfortable faith, average faith, lazy faith, not believing, not stretching, not dreaming? Get out of that box. Take the limits off of God. There should be something you’re believing for that causes God to marvel, something over your head, out of your range. That’s what gets God’s attention.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. -Isaiah 43:2 (NIV)

Deuteronomy 28 says,
“If you obey God’s word and follow His commands, then all these blessings will overtake you.” One translation of that word “overtake” is to catch by surprise. You may be in a situation that looks permanent. You’ve gone as far as you can in your career, your child will never get back on course, that trouble at work will always hinder you. What you can’t see is God has some surprises coming your way. Because you’re honoring Him, you’re keeping Him first place, He has blessings that are going to overtake you, favor that you can’t outrun, good breaks that you can’t get away from. It’s going to chase you down.

Prayer for Obedience:
"Thank You for leading me, God. I pray that Your strength and wisdom would be with me as I make decisions that follow Your path. Help me to put Your Word to the test in my life so that my obedience will be a blessing to everyone who sees You working in me. Lord, help me to stay focused on You so the obstacles that come up won't seem impossible to overcome. I know all things are possible through You, and I thank You for the privilege of doing any small task that brings You glory. Let my name be forgotten, O Lord, and Yours be remembered. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen."

You can trust God to always understand everything about you, because He understands you better than you understand yourself. You can trust Him to never reject you, to always be there for you, to be on your side and to love you unconditionally. He is merciful, long-suffering with your weaknesses and more patient than you can even fathom.

RICHES | HONOR | LIFE
I have walked with God for many years. I have a lot of experience with Him, and I know for certain that He always works all things out for good to those who love Him and want His will in their lives [Romans 8:28] .

Believing this allows us to remain thankful all the way through any unpleasant situation we face.

Job, whose story is in the Old Testament, experienced terrible difficulties, yet he could still say:

"I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!"
-Job 19:25–27

What an amazing statement of faith. Job not only had lost everything, including his family and possessions, but he had also lost his health and was suffering with a skin disease that tormented him. An entire book of the Bible is devoted to Job, so powerful was his determination to choose thankfulness over despair.

God had said that Job was the most righteous person of his day [Job 1:8], but the problem was that Job knew it and was proud of it. This caused him to feel self-righteous rather than thanking God for who He is and for what He had done for him. God permitted trials in Job’s life so that in the end he might be a better person—humble and free from self-righteousness.

God wants us to trust Him, to know that anything we go through will work some good in our life, and to believe that when the trials are over, the smell of the roses of God’s goodness will prevent us from focusing on the thorns of life.
