Azimio leaders and the Family of Maina Njenga are claiming that the government is accountable for the abduction of the former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga .
Maina Njenga is said to have been taken by unknown people on Saturday night with his personal assistant Felix Lakishe in Ndenderu,Banana Kiambu County where these people identified themselves as police officers.
Njenga Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru claims that the incident occurred when Maina was visiting a friend and that the abductors had Vehicles that had Sudan Registration Numbers.
In May Maina Njenga was also arrested in his father's house in Kiserian and detained for days before being released.
Njenga was expected to be in court on Monday 18th September 2023.
