Crazy World!!! Kenyan Jesus who 'begged' for money to pay his children's school fees, buy a phone and cooking gas
Kenyan Bungoma based self-declared Jesus, Yesu wa Tongaren, sparked widespread reaction after appealing for financial help to buy his daughter cooking gas, phone and pay school fees for his children.
The Bungoma Jesus also revealed that one of his sons was evicted from a house in Kiambu due to rent arrears, and County Commander Francis Koholi weighed in to rescue him. Reports have also emerged claiming that he has sought help to buy food.
Yesu, who has 12 disciples like the Biblical Jesus, dismissed claims that his popularity on social media means he is wealthy, insisting he is not a content creator but a preacher committed to God’s work.
He was previously arrested and accused of operating an unregistered society, radicalisation, and money laundering, but the prosecution later admitted it lacked sufficient evidence. Yesu spent four days in police custody undergoing a mental assessment before being released.
