Wajir West is ready for a new chapter.

MP aspirant Ahmed Nasir Mohamed has once again demonstrated that leadership is not merely about occupying an office,it is about taking action, serving people and creating change.

Ahmed officially opened water projects he initiated at his own capacity in Hajilo and Ruqbala settlements, bringing a vital resource closer to communities that have long faced the burden of water scarcity.

Ahmed urged wananchi to register as voters ahead of the 2027 General Election, reminding them that their vote is their voice and their strongest instrument for determining the future of Wajir West.

He has pledged to continue supporting development initiatives from his own capacity and, if entrusted with the people's mandate, to bring greater investment, better services and meaningful development across Wajir West.

Barmil Residents Cry Out for Water as MP Launches Second-Term Bid

Residents of Barmil Location in Wajir West are crying out for urgent intervention after going for five consecutive days without water following a mechanical breakdown at the areaโ€™s main borehole.
As families struggle to find even a drop of water, residents say children, the elderly and other vulnerable members of the community have been pushed to the brink by the crisis. For many households, accessing water has become a daily struggle for survival.

What has angered residents even more, they say, is the contrast between their suffering and the activities of their elected representative, Area MP Yussuf Farah, who was busy launching his bid for a second term while the community he represents remained without its most basic necessity.

Residents are now asking a simple but powerful question: How can a leader seek another term when his people are crying out for water?

They say leadership should be measured not by campaign launches and political promises, but by being present when the people are suffering and taking action when it matters most.

For the people of Barmil, this is not politics,it is a matter of water, dignity and survival.

His gesture has given the people of renewed hope that their long-awaited dream of having a secondary school in their community will soon become a reality.

MATAN Women in Nairobi Rally Behind Ahmed Nasir Mohamed for Wajir West MP.

A wave of momentum continues to build behind Ahmed Nasir Mohamed after MATAN Women in Nairobi today overwhelmingly endorsed his candidacy for Member of Parliament for Wajir West during a well-attended gathering at Alya Hotel, South C, Nairobi.

The endorsement comes just months after Nasir received the backing of his Rer Isley family of the larger RM Clan, further strengthening a growing grassroots movement that many believe is poised to unseat the current Wajir West MP.

In accepting the endorsement, Nasir expressed deep gratitude for the confidence and trust placed in him by the women of MATAN, describing their support as a powerful reminder that when women unite, they become an unstoppable force for positive change.

He reaffirmed his commitment to championing gender equality, social inclusion, youth empowerment, and equitable development, pledging to ensure that every voice in Wajir West is heard and that no one is left behind.
