We partnered with The Africa Brotherhood Church, Eastern Kenya Chapter, when they were having their December Youth Camp this past week. Among other things, we talked about;

1. Finding your God-given purpose
2. Setting your goals and following through to achievement
3. Christian Relationships and Dating
4. Financial success and well-being
5. Personal Branding.

WHEN YOUR BRAND IS AT RISK
In the first frame, Nation had Absa Bank Kenya background, making it seem to clients that they are sponsoring the message passed by the politician(s) about the Bishops. It needed not being said, when your eyes look at the photo, the brain subconsciously relates.

It seems the Absa Bank Kenya PR team went to work immediately and demanded Nation remove their brand, and they did.

Some customers had already began wondering if the bank is sponsoring political wrangling....

At BMSK we believe that 'You are not successful until your successor succeeds'.

For that reason we have embedded PEER MENTORSHIP within our frameworks. While mentoring University students, we on-board some BMSK members who are also university students and are undergoing active mentorship with us. This gives them an opportunity to put into practice what they have learnt as well as showcase their gifts and perspectives with their fellow youth.

For instance, we had Evans Mwarabu, a fourth year student at Maneno University speak about his experiences and how mentorship has transformed him, as well as getting himself immersed in reading.

Ezra Maina, a second year University student at Mama Ngina University shared about his entrepreneurial ventures even at University (we have shared his story here and the achievements his company has made) and the opportunities students can exploit to make an extra coin online while still staying focused on their studies.

The story goes on and on, as Dan Wangai, a first year student at the University of Nairobi dazzled the audience with his amazing thoughts on how the youth can change the world.

At BMSK, the Gen Z spirit is alive 🤸🤸🤸 and we are harnessing and nurturing it to change lives in a great way.

Over the past decade, we have seen a very fundamental change to the classic marketing/sales funnel model. This has been powered by data and technology.

The line between the roles in the company structure have also become thinner, and the teams work in a more integrated way than the old system where they operated in silos; The Marketing Team would do it's bit in awareness creation and hand over to the Sales Team to do the bigger task. The different funnels are compared below.

In the past, they said marketing was 'pull' while sales was 'push'. That has changed.

There are companies, then there is Kenya Airways (KQ).

When banks are making big money because the interests have gone in their favour (gava is borrowing locally), KQ wants to get money from banks in exchange for shares? Yaani KQ shares.

KQ and SAA (South African Airlines) are always being bailed out by the governments, while ET (Ethiopian Airlines) is one of the best managed assets.
