[27]Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to act.
King Solomon was a powerful man,in power during his reign.
He knew what it meant to hold power and to use it.
Power is sweet and tempting, and many people being in power forget quickly and get drunk with it.
King Solomon reminded those in power not to withhold anything good from those who are in need.
This is the best thing to those who are in power today to learn from.
Power comes and goes.
You may be in charge today and tomorrow you are nowhere.
Do good to the people when it's within your power to do it.
Don't neglect those who fought for you, and who helped you to be on top, time is of great essence.

Today, we pause to honor the fathers and the father figures, who have modeled this quiet strength.
The ones who didn’t always have all the words, but always showed up chose to stay to the end.
The ones who bore burdens without applause.
The ones who said little but meant everything.

Maybe your father was like that. Or maybe you’re trying to be that kind of man now, a man of quiet trust, still faith, and steady grace.

The Lord sees the way you rise early, the silent prayers you pray for your children, the weight you carry in secret.

Some of us don't have people. We're the people that people have.

We can be going through hell, and all that people will notice is that we're not showing up for them as they're used to.

One side effect of being a strong person is that nobody notices when you need help.

People often keep in touch with us for their own benefit. They call from time to time, not out of care for you, but just to maintain access for their times of need.

If you're known as a strong person, you should have places where you go for strength and support.

Most of your social relationships will be tilted away from you. You'll have more people who feed on you than those who feed you.
