I consider myself a very conservative person in nature and with more leaning towards traditional methods but I find the thought of holiday assignments in education to be very useless. Most learners learn nothing, they just do it to evade punishments. To prove my point many high schools across Kenya give opener exams based on those assignments and they are the worst performed exams in any given term. It's high time we let the children enjoy holidays that is why they are holidays. The teachers and any other person in the industry doesn't work during their leave days, why are we subjecting children to this torture?
