Always been an early adopter — in many things, especially given my creative and film background. It’s nice to arrive at the party early. You already know where everything’s being served — the meat or veg options, and where the nice mocktails are… okay, this isn’t about a party, but now I’m thinking of one. 😄
This photo was taken outside the coworking space we sometimes operate from. It’s tucked away in proper suburbia, so don’t hold it against us if we can’t make it there daily!
The first time I signed up for a coworking space was about seven years ago. Back then, we got five days a month in a private office and bottomless cups of great coffee — but it came with a pretty hefty price tag.
Not long after, I joined a content creation fellowship that offered free coworking space for a few months — which was a huge relief after those earlier expenses.
Now, we’re at , where we’re hoping to renew our membership for the third year running. For individual creatives or mid-sized teams, they really do offer one of the best deals out there.
What works for us:
> The open-plan workspace
> Several hours of meeting room access
> A film preview space for our documentaries and films 🎬
> Great networking with other creatives
> Space to shoot on-the-go content and even host small events
We’ve got our favorite corner — and we definitely miss our friend (the top-notch web designer) when we’re away for too long. And our other friend, the podcaster with the energy of seventeen people, keeps the place buzzing.
In “business school” (where we never went), they say never talk about money — or if you do, do it last. That’s all I’ll say — holla at them for more details. They’ve got branches in Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, and Eastlands too.
Oh, and this post was actually about this photo — because framing improves a picture, one frame at a time. Also, I love my phone… but might be forced to upgrade soon, or find a small Sony camera that delivers phenomenal photos and basic cinematography. 📸 ___ would appreciate plugs for future consideration.
