The day has finally arrived! After 5 years of blood, sweat and tears we have finally officially launched, and the first two episodes are now available on YouTube! 🎬 ✨

This animated series follows the magical journey of two Kenyan siblings, Uli and Tata, as they travel across Africa with their ancient giant turaco bird, discovering the continent’s most beloved nursery rhymes 🎶🌍

And this is just the beginning! Over the next two months, we will be releasing more episodes and exclusive content that will continue to inspire and entertain children.

Hey there, new friends! 👋🏾 We've had some new followers so we thought it's about time we say HI and introduce ourselves😁💫

We’re Uli & Tata, the stars of the upcoming series, Uli & Tata’s African Nursery Rhymes! We live in Nairobi, Kenya 🇰🇪 with our parents and we love to sing, and dance, and go on exciting adventures together.

Uli is the brave one - always ready for an adventure and making new friends. Tata is a bit more shy and sensible, but once he gets into it, he loves to learn and explore.

We can’t wait to take you on some magical journeys with us, and our very good friend Tuki the turaco bird starting this Friday!

Did you know?

That the idea for Uli & Tata's African Nursery Rhymes was born five years ago when our founders, Chief Nyamweya, Sarah Mallia Manu Akatsa, became parents. Searching for East African songs to share with their kids, they realized there was little content available. So, they used their skills as animators and creators to change that! ✍🏾✨🖌️

The characters, Uli & Tata, are inspired by their own children who love to sing, dance and go on adventures. ❤️ This weekend, the real-life Tata got to see himself on a big screen, watching the pilot episode at NBO Film Festival!

Wasting water is never in order! 💦💦💦

In the 2nd episode of Uli & Tata's African Nursery Rhymes 🎶 the kids are caught playing with water after heavy rains. To show them the importance of conserving water, Tuki takes Uli & Tata to the Chalbi Desert, where they meet the Gabba community. By spending time with the Gabbra and their beloved camels, the kids learn that ‘wasting water is never in order.’

Meet the talent behind the tunes! The one and only, Mali Bora, our brilliant Music Composer 🎙✨

Mali Bora merges his passion for Musical Composition and Animation in his role in Uli & Tata’s African Nursery Rhymes. He seamlessly brings together the sounds, textures and musical recordings into a refreshing take on the traditional African nursery rhymes that Uli & Tata discover on their adventures.

In the sixth episode of Uli & Tata’s African Nursery Rhymes 🎶, Tuki helps Tata overcome his fear of bees 🐝 by taking the kids on a journey to the North Rift Valley to meet the Ogiek, a community renowned for their beekeeping skills.

He discovers that bees are not as scary as he thought, and in fact, they make something that he really loves… honey! 🍯🍯🍯

In just a few weeks our new series is launching 🚀!

In the fifth episode of Uli & Tata’s African Nursery Rhymes, the adventorous siblings take a detour to the Arabuko Sokoke Forest in Kilifi county for a picnic. Follow Uli & Tata as they chase down the naughty monkey that stole Uli's drum! Will they catch the Mwannyani? 🙈🎵🥁
