LANGUAGE OF NATURE by Mathiang Dalmeth

I have not forgotten the language of poems
written on the sand,
sandwiched in time and barbecue
dire thoughts pestered
to musk what we hallo away

for this is a way to speech
what we speed to spit in exchange for our
integral part of nature's misfits

I have not forgotten how poems
are slices of our dear skin,
how portions of our hearts find ways
to find home on pages marked in calibrate ink

There are thousand ways to leave a mark
on the face of earth;
I drew innumerable lines to the shores
of the Nile,
and banked my anger to the day it caught flames
then drew more lines to spell
my beauty

did I get home with a sound flake?
and jar my ways to siphon through a simple crack in my guts?

well, this could count in the thousand ways,
for some ways are rooted in evil

I have not forgotten the language of poems,
when written in sand they sink not.
