TO THE PEOPLE OF EMURUA DIKIRR CONSTITUNECY, FRIENDS, RELATIVES,ALL KENYANS AND NAROK COUNTY AT LARGE POLENI SANA.
The late Hon. Johana Ng’eno Kipyegon was a Kenyan politician and three-term legislator who served as the Member of Parliament for Emurua Dikirr Constituency in Narok County from its creation in 2013 until his tragic death on 28 February 2026 in a helicopter crash in Mosop, Nandi County due to bad weather with full mist which forced the Europlane to land in first attempt and take off for another trial which made it to come down again in force killing six instantly due to harsh prolonged weather which is being experienced across the republic. He was born in 1972, received his early education at Mogondo Primary School and Maseno National School, then pursued higher studies—earning a Bachelor of Arts in International Law from Kyiv TSN University, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Mount Kenya University, and a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Nairobi; he was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 2025. Before joining elective politics, Ng’eno served as Director of the Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC) from 2008 to 2012. He was first elected to Parliament in 2013 and was re-elected in 2017 and 2022, initially on KNC and KANU tickets before joining the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), and was known for his vocal and sometimes controversial defence of his constituents, particularly on land and forest issues. In Parliament he chaired the Departmental Committee on Housing, Urban Planning and Public Works and contributed to key legislation including the Affordable Housing Act; he was remembered by leaders across the republic, including President William Samoei Ruto and Kenyan Parliament National Speaker Hon Moses Wetang’ula as a fearless, focused, and devoted public servant whose sudden death at age 54 sent shockwaves across Kenya.
