There is a certain artist who was releasing hit songs a few years ago, but after visiting a number of podcasts, his light went dim. We have bad spirits in this industry that kill our music. There was a time when the DJs were doing it, then the radio presenters, and right now, it’s the demonic podcast community.

Leave podcasting to politicians and washed-up comedians. After all, they’ve built their brands through talking. master VK proves what I have been saying about these ghetto artists: they lack guidance. What was he doing at Oga Obesity’s show? He could have explained all the issues on his own platform, but it is what it is.

The problem we have with our influencers, musicians, and other public figures is that they are not loyal to any side and lack integrity. It’s not bad to be a two-term supporter, just as it’s not bad to be a one-term supporter, but it’s pathetic to try to play both sides.

Tanzanian public figures did it best. They picked sides and stood by their decisions, even while Kenyan musicians were judging them. But when those same Kenyan artists were called to State House, they arrived very quickly.

It’s time for artists to state their political positions and stop playing the games they always play. You can never truly be in the middle. I’m happy that Nigerian public figures have also shown this kind of political conviction.

The chemistry between an artist and a producer is very important. If you are a good artist and meet a good producer but you guys don’t have chemistry, you might just create a good song. But with chemistry, a hit song is almost guaranteed.

For example,Nyashinski and Cedo have great chemistry. Some artists have worked with Cedo, but all they got were good songs not massive hit songs like the ones Nyashinski has made with him.

Another example is S2kizzy and Diamond Platnumz. They have given us hit songs, but when Alikiba worked with S2kizzy, he only got a good song, not a hit song.

Choosing a producer whom you are compatible with is therefore very important as an artist.

Even though I can never go to his podcast, Mwakideu, stay strong. From today, I have a different opinion of you. May God strengthen you. I can’t wish something like this on anybody. Remember, doctors have said a lot of things to people, but it’s God who has the final say.

Peter Okoye had something to say, so he placed his camera and said it himself. He didn’t search for podcasters, and now his page, brand, and YouTube channel are getting all the traffic. Something I have been telling artists if you have something to say, do it on your own platform. Stop giving these podcasters views. Some of them have negative energy, and that’s why your songs ain’t moving. Fanyeni ngoma, muache mdomo! Kenyan artists are going even on bread-cooking shows. Pathetic.
