Disturbing Images of a infant rescued from a thicket

A live foetus was yesterday resccused from small thicket in Butimba, Busia town yesterday Nas rushed to Busia County Teaching and Referral Hospital

According to eye witnesses, it's suspected that a school girl may have arboted the significantly mature foetus and thrown it in the thicket in bid to escape parental responsibility.

The police are still investigating the incident and more updates will be shared a they unfold.

PRESIDENT KIBAKI'S FINAL JOURNEY

Preliminary plans for the state funeral of H.E president Mwai Kibaki have been finalized. The public should be aware that this will take place on Friday 29th April at Nyayo National Stadium. President Kibaki will be laid to rest in Othaya on 30th April.

Prior to this, the former president's body will lay in state at National Assembly for 3 days.

'BIG TED' AMONG THOSE APPOINTED TO AMBASSADORSHIP POSITIONS

President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed 24 new Ambassadors and High Commissioners as Heads of Kenya missions abroad.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the President had also appointed 7 new Ambassadors who will serve as Deputy Heads of Mission and 4 officials to the post of Consul-General.

Some of the notable names on the list of appointments made 108 days to the General Election are former ICT Permanent Secretary Bitange Ndemo and Nyeri Deputy Governor Dr. Caroline Karugu who have been appointed as Kenyan Ambassadors to Belgium and Denmark respectively.

National Assembly Clerk Michael Sialai has also been appointed as Kenya's High Commissioner to the Republic of Namibia.

Also on the list is BBI Secretariat Co-Chair Dennis Waweru who will serve as Kenya’s Consulate-General in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Thomas Kwaka Omolo popularly known as Big Ted who will serve in the same position in Los Angeles, USA.

BUSIA TEENAGERS REPRESENT KENYA IN AI GLOBAL COMPETITION

According to The Border Hub, the 6 teenagers from Busia will be competing against other teenagers from Fiji, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, India, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kuwait showcasing their innovation called Ukulima Bora App in the International GirlsinICT Day 2021, happening on Thursday, 22nd April 2021.

Ukulima Bora is an informative application that will assist Kenyan farmers with sustainable farming methods enable them to learn about profitable agriculture to help alleviate poverty and better their living standards.

The Border Hub ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF A SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT & PROGRAMMING ACADEMY IN BUSIA

The Border Hub, a Skills Development, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Hub in Busia has launched the first ever Software Development and Programming Academy in Busia.

Through their website, the Hub is inviting tech enthusiasts and all interested persons to enroll for an Android Bootcamp scheduled to start in March.

The program is partially sponsored with participants paying only 50% of the total cost.
The 3 months program will be a great step in enabling participants to start a career in software development and programming.
