Charly Musonda has announced his retirement from professional football at 28.

He joined Chelsea at the age of 15 in 2012, but persistent injuries prevented him from fulfilling his potential at the highest level. He eventually left the Blues in 2022.

His emergence in the Premier League sparked excitement among many Zambians, but the son of former Zambian international Charles Musonda opted to represent Belgium instead of the Chipolopolo Boys.
