Didmus Barasa can go ahead and table a motion to impeach the Deputy President. He can even vote "Yes" to impeach Riggy G and mobilize his fellow Members of Parliament to follow suit. As the saying goes, when the devil wants to destroy you, it first sends its agents.
Didmus can do all the hullabaloo and bravado he’s engaging in now, but we will meet him on the ground in 2027. He will have to explain who sent him to impeach the Deputy President. He will need to tell us how this was an urgent matter of concern for us, the citizens. He must explain how he and the people of Bungoma benefited from the impeachment.
We will also ask him why important and pressing issues, such as the high cost of living, poor road infrastructure, and inadequate healthcare services, were not addressed while he was in power. If not now, then when?
