BEST WRITTEN OR BEST SELLING?

Apple has held the title of the world’s most valuable brand for a while. How did they get there?

Apple’s co-founder, Steve Jobs, was known for his captivating keynote speeches that revolutionized product launches. He believed that great products alone were not enough and that a leader must be able to articulate their vision and inspire others. He famously said:

"The most powerful person in the world is the storyteller. The storyteller sets the vision, values, and agenda of an entire generation that is to come."

Jobs' presentation skills and persuasive storytelling played a crucial role in shaping Apple’s brand and attracting loyal customers.

This leads to a very interesting thought. Many times, you will see a book labelled as a bestselling title. Note that it is not necessarily the best-written book. This is why you might pick up a bestseller and wonder what all the hype was about, yet at other times, you can find a brilliantly written book that no one has heard of and wonder why it isn’t in every home. A poorly written book that is well sold with a great narrative told about it, will always outsell a very well written book with a poor narrative around it.

Now, my question to you is this: Are you best written or best selling?

The goal is to be both, and the way to achieve that is through the ability to communicate well.

Happy New Year. It's officially 2025 and on this first day I'd like to share some truths with you to help you align your year. For many people a new year is only new by name, they go through the festivities, say its going to be "their year" but things still remain the same. This is mainly because a new year faced with an old mindset will always maintain the status quo. So this year, let your first priority be to transform your thinking, remember, your thoughts determine the direction of your life. One of the best tools for transformation is knowledge, expose yourself to new ideas through reading, remember he who does not read is no different from he who cannot read! Books remain one if the greatest tools for transformation and mentorship as they expose you to the mind of the author. Take a course, register for a program, my Inspired to Inspire Program will be running again so be on the lookout for it. Finally, have a tangible, action based and measurable plan on how you'll grow and succeed this new year. In 2025, you cannot afford to be haphazard with your life, purpose to be intentional and indeed it will be a new and prosperous year for you.
