The words recorded in Jeremiah 1:5 always challenge me; here, take a look:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Often when I share this verse with a mentee, coachee, student and pose the question as to whether it's only Jeremiah who was appointed before he was born, they hesitate until I read out another...

Judges 13:5
[5]You will become pregnant and have a son whose head is never to be touched by a razor because the boy is to be a Nazirite, dedicated to God from the womb. He will take the lead in delivering Israel from the hands of the Philistines.”

In this verse, God gives instructions to Samson's mother before she would conceive and bear him...

The two verses point to purpose; look, Jeremiah's purpose is assigned before being formed in his mother's womb and so it is with Samson...could it be the case with me and you? Can you spell out your purpose in one sentence ? Let us hear of it please...if unable to spell it out, where do you get stuck? We would love to be of help...

Has self esteem ever denied you an opportunity? How did it make you feel? And how long did it take you to realise it's it that denied you the opportunity?

We often don't pay as much attention to self-esteem as we ought to because we're unaware of how much an influence it harbors.

Quick points to help you assess your self esteem and manage it:

Real self - this is the person you really are; your physical appearance as well as your intellectual ability. It also encompases your integrity.

Self-concept - this is the person you think you are; it can be accurate or deceitful.

Ideal self - this is the person you desire to become. You can attain your ideal self if you look set achievable goals for yourself.

Now, self esteem is how you view your real self;

If you appreciate it and decide to work on what you can change over time, while you accepting what you can't change, you end up with high self esteem.

On the other hand, if you feel bad about who hou really are and resolve that there's nothing you can do about it, you end up with low self esteem.

Encouragingly, low self esteem can be addressed over time...

Now, what do you attribute your high self esteem, low self esteem to?

We're all ears...

Lakini mimi ni Shujaa wa nani?

Wooi😭😭😭
I'm all alone at my place but can't listen to the words. Nimeshtuka nikapunguza sauti lakini wapi😥. Too obscene. Such words are not just difficult to utter. Huyataji hata kwa mawazo.

Sasa kizazi hiki kitapata busara kutoka kwa nani k**a mtu unazeeka ukiwa mpumbavu kabisa😭

This should never happen. Lets join hands in raising every child in our society. Parent or no parent.
I've NEVER seen such ignorance in my lifetime. So unfortunate.

May our children grow in wisdom and respect.

When you die the pain is felt by others not you. The same applies to this kind of arrogance. Unfortunately.

HOW TO AVOID BEING SELFISH
Part 1

The story of the widow of Zarephath is a perfect example in matters giving. Despite the fact that she had very little flour remaining with little oil, something she was to use to make the last meal for her and her child, she agreed to give the man of God something first. The only meal their life depended on!

If i were in the woman's shoes Elijah might have gotten the shock of his life because the Callen Abugah i know would have maybe asked him, "Have i not just told you how little the flour is? We are talking about only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug come on...and btw, do you know you are far better than me? You are a man and i am a woman with a child. What is so difficult for you to understand?" Could you please spare me the pain of explaining? I have no energy left. If you can excuse me.." As i leave...
But that is me, in my imagination.

The widow surely had no other way to find food since there was a serious drought in the land. The fact that she was gathering "a few sticks" as firewood tells us the only option she was remaining with was to wait for death. The thought of watching her only child die was already tormenting her.

She first makes some bread for the prophet of God anyway. This is because she trusted God to provide.
The jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry until the day God sent rain on the land. There was enough food for the widow, her child and prophet Elijah.

LESSONS
We need to learn to share everything. From the smallest to the only thing that your life depends on!
