Maafisa wa Polisi katika eneo Bunge la Navakholo Kaunti ya Kakamega wanamzuilia mwanamume mmoja mwenye umri wa miaka 31 ambaye anaishi na virusi vya UKIMWI, kwa tuhuma za kumbaka mwanawe wa miaka tisa na kisha kutupa mwili wake kwenye lango kuu la kuingia kwa boma la babake.

Babake mshukiwa, Henry Masinde, na mamake, Lidya Wawire, wanadai kuwa mshukiwa Martin Sifuna Wafula anadaiwa kumfukuza mkewe nyakati za usiku kwa madai kuwa alikuwa amemnyima haki yake ya ndoa kabla ya kumgeukia mwana wake wa miaka tisa, mwanafunzi wa darasa la pili, na kisha kumuua kinyama.

OCPD wa Navakholo, Richard Omanga, amehoji kuwa mshukiwa anaendelea kuzuiliwa akitarajiwa kufikishwa mahak**ani baada ya uchunguzi kukamilika.

Two people have been confirmed dead and more than 10 people seriously injured after the bus they were traveling with from Western Kenya to Nairobi rammed a stationed fuel truck in Muguga area in Kikuyu along James Gichuru Rironi highway.

Confirming the incident Kikuyu Sub County Police Commander Ronald Kirui called upon all road users to be vigilant as the Country is expected to receive long rain season as focused by the weatherman.

The remains of the two people were taken to Thogoto hospital mortuary while they wreckage of the two vehicles towed to Kikuyu Police Station

The DCI Serious Crime Unit is currently seeking a suspect, whose photo is attached, in connection with a case involving Impersonation and Unauthorized access to a computer system reported at *Parklands Police Station*.

A warrant of arrest has been issued for the suspect, who was released on police cash bail on *December 19, 2023*, pending the completion of investigations but failed to comply with the set reporting date.

The suspect is believed to have hacked a mobile money app, resulting in significant financial losses, before going into hiding.

Not long ago, indigenous and rural women in pastoral areas faced tremendous barriers as they sought opportunities that would set them on an equal footing with men.

Inequality between women and men was widely apparent but it is now a new dawn for indigenous and rural women who have changed fortunes after being empowered economically, acquired skills, opportunities with tools to get themselves out of extreme poverty.

But many women in West Pokot County who were vulnerable now have made significant strides by beating the poverty trap, hence accessing resources and uplifting their living standards.

Many have a reason to smile as they have turned into entrepreneurs engaging in beadwork and tree planting initiatives as alternative means of survival.

The women who have formed groups are using beads to make decorative products as an income generating activity to fight high poverty levels and peace building in the region.

Bead making has been a traditional activity in the Pokot community with no significant economic benefits but now it is ending poverty and promoting sustainable economic growth among women in the region.

Monica Silinyang a rural woman from the Batei area says they are in darkness but now they have been empowered after enduring suffering for a long time.

Hatma ya masomo ya wanafunzi zaidi ya 1100 wa Shule ya Msingi ya Amalemba haijulikani baada ya maafisa wa afya ya umma kuifunga shule hiyo kwa kukosa vyoo vya kutosha.

Shule hii ya Amalemba ilifungwa hapo jana Jumanne na hii leo Jumatano , tayari vyoo hivi vilivyokuwa vimezama tayari vimeanza kubomolewa.

Mwenyekiti wa PTA Vincent Ambani akilaumu kutokuwepo kwa mtaro wa maji k**a chanzo cha masaibu haya.

Hassan Salee Mwenyekiti wa PMC shuleni hapa ameilaumu Idara ya Afya ya Umma kwa kutoa notisi mbele na kupinga ombi lao la kutaka baadhi ya wanafunzi haswa wa Sekondari Msingi kusalia shuleni.

Maafisa wa Idara ya Afya ya Umma wakiongozwa na Adelide Lumula wamedhibitisha kufungwa kwa shule hii ya Amalemba na kueleza kuwa walitoa onyo kwa shule tangu mwezi Disemba 2023 ila hatua madhubuti hazikuwa zimechukuliwa na hivyo kuhatarisha afya ya wanafunzi.

A family from Shirumba Village in Ikolomani Constituency of Kakamega County is seeking justice after their Form Three student, who attended Shipalo High School, allegedly died from injuries sustained after being beaten by members of the Nyumba Kumi initiative.

Moses Masero, the father of the deceased, Utshoonlar Indenjekho, stated that he had sent his son to the shop to buy dinner. However, he was later informed by the Nyumba Kumi group that his son had been found at their compound with a schoolgirl.

Sadly, the 15-year-old boy passed away while receiving treatment at Kakamega Referral Hospital. The grieving family, led by the deceased's uncle, Reuben Imbayi, is demanding justice.

Ikolomani OCPD Benjamin Wambua confirmed the incident and stated that the police are continuing with investigations to uncover the circumstances surrounding the death.

A report from the Public Service Commission (PSC) has highlighted a lack of representation of nine ethnic groups in government public jobs, while the Kikuyu and Kalenjin communities are overrepresented. The Kikuyu community holds 22.25% of positions, and the Kalenjin hold 14%, whereas the Aweer/Waata, Dahalo, Gosha, Konso, Makonde, Nubi, Walwana/Malakote, Wayyu, and Kenyan Americans/Europeans are entirely unrepresented.
