Raila Odinga’s Message to His Brother Oburu — To Be Passed to Kalonzo Musyoka
" My brother Oburu,
As we speak today, my spirit is alive though my body is failing. Don’t be shocked, my brother — I’m at peace. I just want you to carry this message to our friend and brother, Kalonzo Musyoka.
Kalonzo, my brother, we’ve come a long way together. We’ve been through struggles, sacrifices, and many battles for this country. You’ve stood by me when things were tough, when hope was dim. You’ve set aside your own ambitions not once, but many times, so that I could lead our movement. I’ll never forget that.
I had really hoped that in 2027, we’d walk together again — this time to see you take the oath as President. But I may not be there physically. Still, my spirit will be with you, just as it has always been.
I want you to know, my brother, that when I agreed to work with the broad-based government, it wasn’t about supporting Ruto. It was about calming the nation and protecting our people from chaos. The understanding we signed remains intact. Sifuna has the document — he’ll show it to you when the time comes.
Kalonzo, Azimio is still alive. The ODM family must now unite and rally behind you. You’ve earned it. Lead with courage, and never lose sight of what we’ve fought for — justice, equality, and peace for all Kenyans.
Oburu, the time has come for you to take charge of the party. Work closely with Sifuna and Babu — they know the way forward. I’ve shared with them everything they need to keep ODM strong.
My brothers, keep the fire burning. Stand together. Let unity and truth guide you always." Follow Jamin Wangila Makokha for more updates and powerful highlights
