Here is an update from Dr. Muthoni Omukhango, the national director of CLC Kenya:
“I am writing to express my heartfelt appreciation for the generous $5,000 donation from CLC USA. Your kindness and timely support came at a crucial moment in our ministry work, and we remain deeply grateful.
Before the well project began, a neighbor reluctantly offered us the option of connecting to her existing well—at a $1,000 connection fee and a monthly charge of $30 for just 10,000 liters of water each month. For us, even this seemed like a mountain too high to climb at that moment. We were at a crossroads: the need was urgent, but the path forward appeared financially out of reach.
Then your encouraging words and seed arrived.
Your words of a possibility to dig our own well and then contribution that followed became the initial down payment for drilling our own well, and suddenly what once looked impossible became a journey of faith.
Your gift did not simply fund a project—it ignited hope. It gave us the courage to believe that the Lord was making room for us, and that we could trust Him for a long-term, sustainable solution for our water needs that was making the land not livable.
Today, the well stands completed, equipped, and functioning. It is now a reliable source of water powering every next phase of construction. What began with your generosity has become a testimony of God’s provision and the strength of partnership in His work.
Attached are several photos of the well and the solar-powered system now in place. With water flowing, construction has officially commenced, turning long-held prayers into visible, tangible progress.
