SABBATH CELEBRATIONS DURING THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES .
Date: Tishri 15th, 5786 (October 11th, 2025)
Theme: “Rejoicing Before Elohim in the Feast of Tabernacles” (Leviticus 23:39–43)
This Sabbath was one of the most glorious and spiritually uplifting days ever witnessed at the Kisumu Synagogue as brethren gathered to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) — one of the holiest seasons in the Jewish calendar, marking the fifteenth day of the month of Tishri.
From the early hours of the morning, a great multitude flocked into the Synagogue from every side of the city and neighboring counties and sub-counties. The excitement and joy of worship could be felt in the air as faithful believers arrived in large numbers, with no available space left to accommodate the overwhelming turnout of guests and worshippers.
This year’s Feast of Tabernacles celebration marked a great milestone for the Kisumu Synagogue family. The vibrant congregation rejoiced, sang, danced, and dwelt in unity — truly fulfilling the Scriptural command to “rejoice before God for seven days.”
Among the many visitors were university and college students from various institutions including KEWI, Maseno University, JOOUST, and MMUST, who thronged the Synagogue to join in worship and fellowship. Their active participation added youthful energy and inspiration to the day’s celebration.
Several Messianic teams from across the region graced the day with captivating and Spirit-filled presentations. Delegations came from Majengo (led by Elder Jeremiah), Siaya, Borabu, Migori, Kakamega, Kaimosi, and Cheptulu, each bringing a unique expression of praise and thanksgiving.
The event was further blessed by the presence of respected ministers and elders who led the congregation in worship, teaching, and thanksgiving.
Pastors in attendance included:
Pastor Samuel Nyangate
Pastor Omondi
Resident Pastor George Morara
Elders present were:
Elder Julius Kauma
Elder Geoffrey Ochola
Elder Tobias

His vision for a united, Torah-centered, and Messiah-honoring Messianic community continues to inspire the brethren nationwide.
The joy, brotherly love, and warm hospitality experienced today made this Sabbath truly unforgettable. All well-meaning brethren, friends, and visitors are warmly invited to fellowship with the Kisumu Synagogue and to share in the divine joy of the Feast of Tabernacles.
Indeed, this year’s celebration stands as a testimony that the joy of Elohim is our strength, and the unity of the brethren remains the foundation of our spiritual growth.
