A Wife came Home early and found her Husband in their Bedroom making love to a very Attractive Young Woman. She was very Upset.

_"You are a Disrēspêctful Pīg!"_ she Cried.

_"How dare you do this to me – a Faithful Wife, the Mother of your Children! I'm Leaving you. I want a Divorce, NOW!"_

The Husband calmly replied, _"Hang on just a Minute Love. At least let me tell you what Happened."_

_"Fine, go ahead",_ the Wife Sobbed, _"but they will be the last Words you say to me!"_
The Husband Began:

_"Well, as I was getting into the Car at Work to drive Home, this Young Lady here asked me for a Lift. She looked so Distressed, Helpless and Defenceless that I took Pity on her and let her into the Car."_

_"She was very Thin, not well Dressed and very Dirty and told me that she hadn't Eaten for Three Days."_

_"Out of Compassion, I brought her Home and Warmed up the Pizza I made for you last Night that you wouldn’t eat because you're afraid you'll put on Weight. The Poor thing Ate it, Ravenously."_

_"She was Dirty. I suggested she have a Shower. While Showering, I noticed her Clothes were Filthy and Threadbare. I threw them away."_

_"I gave her the Designer Jeans that you’ve had for a Few Years, but don’t Wear because you say they are too Tight."_

_"I gave her Underwear, your Anniversary Present from me, which you don’t Wear because you said I don't have Good Taste."_
_"I gave her the Sexy Blouse my sister gave you for Christmas, that you don’t Wear just to annoy her.

I also donated those Boots you bought at an expensive Boutique but don’t Wear because someone at Work has the same Pair."_
The Husband Paused, took a quick Breath and continued:

_"She was so Grateful for my understanding and help that as I walked her to the Door, she turned to me with Tears in her Eyes and said, “Please Sir... Do you have anything else that your Wife doesn’t use?

Continuation

After spending the night at the ray leader’s house, I didn’t bother going back to my grandma’s place the next morning. Something in me still felt uneasy. I stayed away… until 1PM.

That’s when I got the call.
It was from him — my stepdad.

His words still ring in my ears:
“Be grateful to the God you serve for saving you. If I had managed to get hold of you… you’d be history.”
He was with his brother.
That was the last time I ever spoke to him.

Out of rage for missing me, they didn’t even take a sip of water at my grandma’s house.
But the horror didn’t end there.

From eyewitnesses — my sisters and grandma I later learned the truth:
The pangas were bought the previous day.
He sharpened them in front of my sisters, forcing them to sit and watch.
As he sharpened, he kept repeating:
“Siku ya mtu ya kwenda ikifika, hawezi pinga.”
(“When someone's day to die comes, they can’t resist it.”)

They didn't understand what he meant... until they realized the pangas were meant for me after the incident.

I detached myself from that family since 2017 and I have never looked back.

Did I mention what my sisters went through 💔💔? Story for another day.
I thank God they were all rescued and God has favoured them enough.

Sometimes I sit and look back at my life...
And all I can say is, this is God.
Only God.
My survival wasn’t , it was divine protection.
A voice. A nudge. An escape, which gave me a new beginning.

Long post alert!!

In 2017, I was meant to be slaughtered alive like an animal…
By the man I once called my stepdad. The one I thought would protect me.

After 22 years in what I thought was my home in Embu, he threw me out. Why? Because he and mum had parted ways and I wasn't his blood. He said he had to remain with his own children, from our second born to the last.

It was during the 2017 general elections. I had just completed my teaching practice and was working as an IEBC clerk in Murang’a (Kirogo). When I was told not to go back to the house I had called home all my life, I had to find a way.

I went to his mother’s house in Murang’a so I could attend IEBC training and conduct the elections. But one day, during the trainings, something felt off. I lacked inner peace-my instincts were screaming.

An inner voice kept telling me ,“Don’t spend the night there.” I listened.

I passed by a neighbour’s house—a ray leader—and opened up to her. I told her I didn’t feel safe sleeping at my grandma’s place. She didn’t ask questions—she just welcomed me with warmth. That night, I slept in peace.

Little did I know, I had just escaped a trap that was meant to end my life.
