Nobody tells you it’s going to be this hard.
When I started out, I thought passion and skill would be enough. That if I just showed up and did great work, everything else would fall into place.
But being young, female, and running your own business? That’s a whole different game with rules nobody bothered to explain.
The lessons I’ve learned didn’t come from business books or motivational quotes. They came from crying in my car between client appointments. From having my prices questioned more times than I can count. From doubting myself at 2am, then showing up confident at 9am anyway.
Some days I still don’t have it figured out. But I’m here, I’m building, and I’m learning.

And one thing I’ve always known is this; there are so many talented artists who are ready…
but just need the opportunity.

So as part of our Acts of Gratitude, we decided to give back in a way that truly matters.

We’re opening up a partially sponsored professional makeup class for those who are ready to take themselves seriously, but may not have had the access before.

This is not just about learning makeup.
It’s about building confidence, creating a portfolio that gets you booked, and stepping into your next level with intention.

We’ve also been able to partner with some incredible brands to support this (more on that soon 👀), and I’m so excited for what this means for the next group of artists.

There was a time when none of this felt certain.
No clear roadmap.
No guarantees.
Just a passion for makeup and the quiet decision to keep going anyway.
Step by step, things started to take shape.
Skills grew. Opportunities came. Confidence followed.
And somewhere along the way, it became clear, this journey was never meant to stop with one person.
So now, 10 years later, it’s time to pass it on.
To the ones who are just starting.
To the ones who feel unsure but know there’s more.
To the ones willing to take themselves seriously.
