On May 7th, IFRA invites you to the launching event for Thinking Africa with V. Y. Mudimbe, organised in partnership with Twaweza Communications.

This collective work, the fruit of collaboration between IFRA and the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of Nairobi, pays tribute to the critical thought of Professor V.Y. Mudimbe, a major figure in contemporary African studies, who recently passed away. Several of the book's authors, as well as invited discussants, will be present to share the genesis of the project, present the contents of the book, and discuss Mudimbe's legacy.

Register to attend by emailing: [email protected] or by filling this google form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScPbxin84VI6jPBCfzVmEuNXbY0v6RO4qUhO-j_ksaLqV1lmg/viewform?usp=sharing.

The event will be on Youtube Live: https://www.youtube.com/
