Bunge la Mwananchi Youths to Field Presidential Candidate in 2027 Under One Tribe, One Nation

studio.opera.com

A section of Kenyan youths under the Bunge la Mwananchi umbrella has announced plans to participate in the 2027 general election by fielding a presidential candidate.

Speaking during a gathering in Nairobi, the group’s leader, Francis Awino, stated that their new political movement, named “One Tribe, One Nation,” aims to unite Kenyans beyond tribal lines and bring in a new era of leadership led by the youth.

Awino emphasized that young people have been sidelined for too long. He said they are always used by politicians during campaigns but are forgotten once leaders take office. This time, he added, the youth will not just support — they will lead.

The group plans to rally support from across the country and is already laying the foundation for a national movement. Their main goal is to challenge the traditional power structure that has long been dominated by older political figures.

The “One Tribe, One Nation” slogan represents their message of unity and inclusion. Awino and his team say they want to create a government that reflects the interests of ordinary Kenyans, regardless of ethnicity, background, or status.

So far, the movement has started engaging local communities, especially in urban centers, and is mobilizing young voters. The group says they will announce their preferred presidential candidate in the coming months after consultations with supporters across the country.

With rising frustration among the youth over unemployment, corruption, and poor leadership, the group believes the time for change is now.

Will this youth-led movement be able to challenge the big political names in 2027.

How Kalombotole Was Hidden Before Killing a Patient at KNH:Not in the Ward
studio.opera.com

Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) is facing heavy criticism after a murder suspect, who was being housed in a special room, escaped and killed a patient in Ward 7B.

The man, accused of murdering Gilbert Kinyua in 2022, had been admitted under the watch of detectives. Instead of being kept in a secure correctional or mental health facility, he was placed in a private room within the hospital.

Reports say he asked to use the toilet but instead walked into Ward 7B and killed an innocent patient. It is still unclear how he moved freely without security intervention.

This incident has angered healthcare workers. Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN) boss Seth Panyako said the suspect was not a patient and should have been kept at Mathare Hospital or a prison ward. He blamed the hospital management and doctors for allowing such a risk.

Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union (KMPDU) leader Davji Atella defended doctors, saying it is not their duty to handle criminal security matters.

This is not the first time a hospital in Nairobi has faced such insecurity. Just recently, a separate facility was attacked by goons who stormed an operating theatre and targeted a patient undergoing surgery. That attack also exposed major gaps in hospital security and raised alarm over the safety of patients and medical staff.

The two incidents point to a growing trend of violence and security failures in public hospitals.

Lilian Ng’ang’a Sparks Breakup After Hinting at Single Motherhood, Leaves Fans Questioning Juliani

studio.opera.com

Lilian Ng’ang’a, the former First Lady of Machakos County, has triggered intense online discussion after making remarks that many believe confirm a possible separation from rapper Juliani, the father of her child.

In a message shared through her Instagram stories, Lilian spoke openly about the judgment women face for being single mothers. What stood out most was her statement: “You can be in a relationship and still be raising your child alone.”

This statement led many to question whether Juliani is still present in her life or actively involved in parenting their son.

Social media users quickly took screenshots and began debating the meaning of her words. While she did not directly name Juliani or mention a breakup, the context of her message strongly suggested that she might be going through motherhood on her own.

Notably, Lilian and Juliani have not posted each other recently on their respective social media pages. In past months, they often shared photos together or spoke openly about their relationship. The silence has fueled even more speculation.

So far, neither party has come forward to confirm or deny the claims, but fans believe her recent post was more than just a general observation.

Do you think Lilian is preparing the public for a quiet exit from the relationship, or is this just being misunderstood?

Kaplong Girls High School Closed After Student Protest Over Alleged Sexual Harassment

Kaplong Girls High School in Bomet County has been closed indefinitely following a student protest over claims of sexual harassment by a male teacher.

The students held a peaceful protest within the school compound before the administration decided to send them home. According to school principal Clara Mitei, the learners raised concerns about a teacher who is accused of inappropriate behavior.

In response to the situation, the school board and education officials agreed to close the institution temporarily to allow for investigations. The principal confirmed that the matter has been reported to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and other relevant authorities.

Parents were called in to pick up their children as the situation developed. No damage or injuries were reported during the protest.

Education officials in Bomet have assured the public that the allegations will be taken seriously and proper action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigations.

Do you think schools are doing enough to protect students from such cases?
