We are deeply concerned by the ongoing public exchanges between content creator David Oyando (Mulamwah) and his wife.

As leaders in Kenya's digital space, our influencers must set an example of dignity and responsibility online. Personal matters—especially involving family—should be handled privately with respect.

🗣️ Promoting Responsibility in the Digital Space

Yesterday, the Digital Content Creators Association of Kenya (DCCAK) held a consultative meeting with the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) leadership — including the Chairperson and CEO — alongside top digital influencers and creators.

đź’¬ We discussed ways to develop structured guidelines for responsible promotion of betting services on digital platforms. Our key focus: protecting young audiences from addiction and mental health issues, while ensuring creators remain compliant with Kenyan law.

📆 A follow-up meeting is set for next week to continue shaping a framework that supports ethical digital engagement.
