Kenyan man from Machakos, Wellington Ngothe Ndembwa, is going through a painful experience after his wife, Diana Syokau, reportedly left for the United States, leaving him behind with their two children aged 12 and 8.
Speaking during an interview with one of the TV stations, Wellington shared his struggles, explaining that his wife allegedly left Kenya with the assistance of her sister, leaving him to raise their children alone. He says he has not spoken to her directly since she left, as anger and disappointment over the situation have made communication difficult.
Wellington earns his living by collecting recyclable bottles in Nairobi to provide for himself and his children. His situation has become even more difficult following an accident six months ago that left him with a persistent leg injury. He says he is still struggling with the pain and needs help as he tries to rebuild his life.
Despite everything that has happened, Wellington says he has never remarried and has little interest in pursuing another relationship. He describes Diana as his first love and says he has been unable to let go of the feelings he still has for her.
In a touching revelation, Wellington says that if Diana returned to Kenya today, he would welcome her back. Despite the pain of their separation, he insists that he still loves her and is willing to wait, no matter how many years it takes.
His story raises difficult questions about love, family responsibilities and the pain of separation. While he continues to care for their two children and struggle with his health, he remains hopeful that one day he may reunite with the woman he still loves.
