ACK St Joseph’s Ngara
Monday Lesson
Theme: You Have No Excuse.
Romans 12:6–8 (NIV)
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;
if it is serving, then serve;
if it is teaching, then teach;
if it is to encourage, then give encouragement;
if it is giving, then give generously;
if it is to lead, do it diligently;
if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”
Today’s Lesson: The Gift of Prophecy
What Is Prophecy?
Prophecy is speaking a message from God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, to guide, warn, encourage, correct, or build up God’s people—always in alignment with God’s Word.
Have you ever been told something by someone—maybe through a dream or a vision—and later it came to pass?
Have you ever received a word from a preacher or even an ordinary believer, and after some time it was fulfilled?
God has placed different gifts among His people for the growth of the ministry. These gifts are not limited to the priest or clergy alone. They are also found among church members.
Some people dream.Some see visions.
Some have the gift of discernment.
When you realize that you carry such a gift, pray for God’s wisdom. Prophecy is a very sensitive gift, and it has been misused by many.
Scripture reminds us that not every prophecy is from God. We are called to test every prophecy.
Therefore, always seek wisdom, patience, and grace as you wait for the fulfillment of a prophetic word.
