The lord of poverty again.

I am not a hypocrite — if Ruto wasn’t doing his job, I would openly say I’m withdrawing from broad-based government. But I have seen his efforts, and I’m 100% behind him. Many of his opponents don’t oppose him because he hasn’t worked, but because of tribalism, jealousy, and bitter hearts — like people such as Gachieta or Wamunyoro. Jealousy, tribalism, and hatred do not build a nation. What Ruto is doing is exactly what I would do if I were the president.
If Ruto wasn’t working, I would be the first to say he should step down in 2027. But the truth is this: he is trying, and he deserves support.
Gen Z, I know you are angry — but don’t let that anger turn into a disaster. Burning property is not a form of a solution; it is self-destruction. Right now, burning property will not bring any solution except more poverty. Come to the table, let’s talk as a nation.

The way I see it, these broad-based marriages (political alliances) won’t last.

I’ve seen that Baba (Raila Odinga) has now condemned Ruto over the alleged “shoot to kill or maim” orders. One thing I know for sure is that Baba has always stood for human rights and justice.

He has exercised remarkable restraint and avoided criticising Ruto’s government publicly, but it’s clear he’s getting tired.

The Ruto administration is failing to deliver, despite being handed top-tier experts.

Maybe it’s time for Raila to stop holding back and start thinking seriously about his legacy.
