Gor Mahia stare at heavy sanctions as Sports Kenya begins investigations into chaotic scenes at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday.

The ugly act by their fans painted Gor Mahia's image negatively at a time football Kenya is trying to heal after such scenes were witnessed at the CHAN 2024.

K'Ogalo started the season with chaos as police had to engage in running battle with fans forcing them to lob tear gas and fire in the air to disperse rowdy fans who wanted to enter Kasarani Stadium without match tickets.

𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐃: Mohammed Shaban Jagason’s agent claims that Gor Mahia declined to comply with the signing fee they agreed on that's why the deal collapsed.

The striker was to be paid USD 30,000 (Approximately Ksh 3.9 million) as sign-on fees after he agreed to join K'Ogalo, however, he was only offered USD 10,000 (Approximately Ksh 1.2 million) when he arrived in Nairobi to complete the deal.

The 2023/2024 Uganda Premier League Golden Boot winner and his agent turned down the proposal of signing fee being in instalment.

Jagason will only rejoin Gor Mahia if the club fulfills its part of the agreement, insist his agent.

New Gor Mahia defender Mike Kibwage has urged his teammates to get focused after last Sunday's shock defeat against Bidco United.

β€œIt was very painful to concede in the manner which we conceded, but the good thing is that it’s only the first match of the season,”

β€œOf course we would have loved to start with a win and put our campaign up and running, but we take the lessons and move on to improve in the next few games. I have no doubt that we will bounce back.”

Kibwage who joined Gor Mahia after CHAN 2024 finals is confident they will bounce back because of the quality they boast within the squad.

Charles Akonnor is determined to restore Gor Mahia's lost glory and make the club one of the best in both East and Africa continent to the level of Simba SC and Al Ahly SC.

The former Ghana Black Stars boss has acknowledged the current the team is facing but has called for unity and togethers, from players, management, and fans to help rebuild K'Ogalo.

"Well, I think as a club it is big in this part of our world, the eastern part of Africa. Yes, they are known, but something has fallen apart, you know, and I think it means that not just me all of us, you know, have to look at it from that angle to work towards achieving another success,”

β€œWe recently were in Tanzania, and we saw that what Simba is doing is great, and I believe this is where Gor Mahia would like to be, and they belong to that area too, that level of teams, and so they need to work very well.”

Akonnor insist he has come to reshape Gor Mahia and is determined he will achieve that success within a short spell.

He related the clubs recent woes mainly because of the management comparing Gor Mahia with problem-stud Manchester United.

"I compare if you look at Manchester United now, it's a big club, but there's something fundamentally wrong with the team, and that's why they are not successful. A few years ago, they were always winning and a few years back, they've not been winning anything.

"There must be something wrong, and therefore, it means that we all have to sit down and look at it from that angle so we can work together and then have it done in a very positive way. I'm here to do that. I'm here able to achieve that." [✍️ Pulse Sports]

Mohammed Bajaber had hoped to work under Fadlu Davids after the South African tactician signed him from Kenya Police FC, been on the pre-season with the team and starting the season with the former Orlando Pirates coach who had an input when the talented winger joined Simba SC.
