We found the BEST restaurant in Morogoro by accident and we were SO hungry

Assalamualaikum everyone, Tanzania Part 5!

We reached the station super hungry, we had one hour before our train left.

We found this restaurant called Marafiki Restaurant. If you haven't tried it, you HAVE to try it.

We tried their signature dishes — I don't even remember the names. Two beef burgers, both different flavours, both tasted out of this world. I couldn't believe we ended up at such a good spot without any research.

Then we ordered two bowls of their signature dishes. One was chicken, the other was steak. Whatever we ate was just delicious.

So yes, if you plan a trip to Morogoro, visit Marafiki Restaurant

After lunch, we finally headed to the train.

We almost FLIPPED in a tuktuk lorry in Dar es Salaam while moving around daresalaam.

Assalamualaikum everyone, Tanzania Part 4!

We woke up early and headed for breakfast. Golden Tulip breakfast was included — and we ate on the rooftop watching the whole of Dar es Salaam. Beautiful view, amazing breakfast with so many varieties.

Then we headed to town for some shopping and some work. We couldn't find an Uber nearby so we jumped on a tuktuk lorry.

It was dangerous but fun at the same time. On the corners, we were reading Kalima as the side tyres were literally in the air!

Finally, we headed to the railway station, heading towards Morogoro.

Have you ever seen a bridge that looks like this? Welcome to Tanzanite Bridge!

Assalamualaikum everyone, this is Tanzania Part 3!

Has anyone even been to the Tanzanite Bridge in Dar es Salaam? It's beautiful and so unique! We planned to pass the bridge to catch the sunset, and yes - we got it.

After that we headed to Bapu's Restaurant where we ordered lamb chops, Gajjar chicken, and mishkaki.

As always, food was delicious - Dar es Salaam doesn't disappoint when it comes to halal food!

By the way, all the restaurants you guys recommended in Dar won't go to waste, next time I'll definitely try them out.

We were in Dar literally for 2 days and it was a very busy schedule. Whatever we were doing, we had to rush.

We thought we got SCAMMED paying 100,000 for lunch in Tanzania!*

Assalamualaikum everyone, Tanzania Part 2!

We started hunting for lunch and found a restaurant right next to our hotel called Marrybrown.

We quickly ordered food. At first we thought it was SO expensive - we paid 100,000 shillings! When I checked online, it was actually just 5k Kenya shillings. It was stressful at first but we got used to it.

Food arrived, we remembered Allah first - bismillahi walaa barakatillah, time to rarua!

We had a great meal. After that we got an Uber - by the way you can use both Uber and Bolt in Dar es Salaam.

We headed to the famous Coco Beach, good vibes, good pictures for memories, sat by the beach and enjoyed some chips.

6 strangers, different flights, ONE destination - Tanzania Part 1 starts now!

Assalamualaikum everyone!

We headed to Jomo Kenyatta Airport and caught our flight to Dar es Salaam.

And the craziest part? This all happened in a day! We were 6 of us who barely knew each other, it was literally our first or second time meeting.

We planned the unimaginable - all from different places, different flights, one destination.

We touched down in Dar es Salaam, and our first stop was Golden Tulip Hotel.

This was our home for 2 nights as we explore Dar and get some work done. And by the way, Golden Tulip Dar es Salaam is 100% halal!
