-After the death of Samson, the reign of judges started diminishing & monarchy was to come in
-Israelites had no leader & they were under theocracy as the will of God was.
-For transition to happen, God called a young man who was born by a barren mom called Hannah, & Elikana was his father,
-As a child he was taken to the temple in accordance with his mother's vow to God,
-God called Samuel to serve Israelites as their Judge, prophet & as their priest,
-Samuel ruled until Israelites demanded for a king, & Saul was annointed, starting the monarchy rulership.
-The book of 1st&2nd Samuel gives us a clear picture of Samuel, Saul & David's rulership over israel.

-Among the ever recorded strong men is Samson,
-Samson was born under a Nazarite vow & he had to keep it throughout his life.
-God used him to deliver Israelites from the hands of fillistines.
-For Samson to attack fillistines, God made him love a fillistine woman & ordered his parents to get her for him.
-During the party, he dropped a riddle to his fellow men that led to great anger & he went back home without the wife.
-He later came back & found his father in-law had given out the woman to Samson's best man.
-Angry Samson started a series of battles with fillistines,
-He killed, 1000 pple with a jaw of donkey, He destroyed wheat using foxes,
-He slept in another woman's house & at midnight and later met Delilah who orchestrated his downfall & finaly death.
-Samsons story teaches on how pple slowly move away from God by compromising the orders of God.

-Among the Major Judges of Israel Jephthah,
-Jephtha was to deliver Israelites from the hands of Ammonites,
-God used Jephthah despite his background, his mother was harlot & his brothers cast him away.
-The Gileadites sought Jephthah to lead their army, & he made a rash vow unto God,
-Jephtha won the battle & now he had to fulfill the vow of sacrifing his daughter.
-The story of JEPHTHAH has great lessons about vows pple make unto God & to pple.
-Have you ever made a vow & you are unable to fulfill it?

-Gedion had 70 sons among them was Abimelech whose mother came from Sechem.
-After the death of Gedion, he convinced his uncle's to make him a king.
-He killed all his brothers except Jotham who ran a hid.
-Jotham went to Sechem & warned the people of Sechem against making Abimelech a king illigitimately.
-The pple of Sechem started fighting Abimelech & sabotaged trade.
-Abimelech burned 1000 pple of Sechem in a tower, & when he attempted to burn others in a different tower. A woman knoked him with a millstone,.
-Abimelech called his servant & ordered him to kill him so that he doesn't die & pple say he was killed by a woman.

-Israelites cycle of sin continues & God gave them to midianites,
-Midianites destroyed crops & everything in the land of Israel.
-Israelites cried unto the Lord & God gave them a deliverer.
-An Angel of the Lord went to Ofra, and found a young man threshing wheat while hiding.
This young man is GEDION the 5TH Judge,
-The Angel told Gedion that he will deliver Israelites but Gideon marvelled & argued on his capability,
-Gedion also argued on why God has forsake. Israelites.
-After all Gedion fought mightly for Israelites after undertaking some tests unto God,
-The battle was won using Port, Torch & a trumpet,

-Deborah was raised by God to deliver Israelites from the hands of Jabin & Sisera the leader of the army,
-Deborah summoned Barak to fight Sisera but he refused to go alone, & Deborah accompanied him.
-God gave them victory & Sisera ran away & he entered in Jaels camp,
-Jael was Heber's wife, & she gave Sisera milk as he slept..
-Jael slowly killed Sisera by hammering him in the head,
Deborah & Barack praised God.

-during the 3rd journey he camped in Ephesus for about 3 yrs.
-Ephesus was the major city in eastern part of Roman empire, with about 500k pple,
-Today.. Ephesus is called Selcuk a city in Turkey.
- Paul went back to Jerusalem & was arrested & taken to Rome,
-While under arrest he wrote some letters & one is the letter to the church in Ephesus where Acquilla & Pirricilla were serving.
-His main theme tackled 3 areas: Wealth, Work & Warfare,

-John the Baptist rebuked Herod Antipas for taking his brothers (Herod Philip) wife when he visited Rome.
-Herodiah & Antipas were angry & John was taken to prison,
-Herodias daughter danced before the Herod during his birthday & She won a favor,
-She consulted her mom, & they demanded the head of John, & John was beheaded,
-Jesus left & many pple followed him.
-He healed the sick & also fed them with 2 fish & 5 loaves of bread, there were about 5000 men,
- Later Jesus walked in the sea & peter also walked towards Jesus but her little faith made him sink.

-John the baptist was put into prison by Herod Antipas
-He was concerned on why his cousin Jesus, the Messiah, who he baptised, is doing nothing about his imprisonment,
-He decided to send his disciples to Jesus & ask Whether He is the Messiah.
-Jesus responds by telling them to tell John of the miracles He is doing.
-Jesus speaks about john the Baptist After disciples left.
-He also rebuked the cities that did not repent during John & also His ministry
-He also praised those who repented.
