Sammy Kioko Announces Closure of His Businesses Amid Unpaid KSh 19 Million Debt by Machakos County Government
Comedian Sammy Kioko has announced the closure of his fashion shop and design house, citing the effects of an unpaid KSh 19 million bill by the Machakos County Government.
Taking to Facebook, Kioko shared the difficult news, writing: “The worst that I was fearing is happening. It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our shops and production areas. Despite our best efforts, we’ve faced significant challenges that have made it impossible for us to continue operating.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to our loyal customers, supporters, and team members who’ve been part of this journey. Your encouragement has meant the world to us. This is not goodbye, but see you later. We won’t get tired of knocking on the county offices. God above everything.”
Kioko’s message reflects the tough economic impact the unpaid county debt has had on his business, which has been forced to cease operations despite sustained efforts to stay afloat.
