AiLFF is dedicated to showcasing films that celebrate the richness and diversity of indigenous languages from across Africa and beyond. This is a unique opportunity for filmmakers to preserve cultural heritage, promote linguistic diversity, and tell stories in their mother tongues.

"Sarah," a Kenyan film directed by Nick Reding, tells the story of a young Maasai girl named Sarah, played by Namurru Sarara, who is faced with the difficult decision of whether to follow traditional rites or pursue her education, exploring themes of tradition, family, and gender rights within the Maasai community.
