Hebrews 12:1-3~Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Following Christ is like running a race that requires patience and focus. We are encouraged to let go of sins and distractions that slow us down and keep our eyes on Jesus, who endured suffering and the cross so we would not give up. When life feels hard or tiring, remembering what Jesus went through gives us strength. You should therefore let go of anything that pulls you away from God today, stay focused on Jesus, and keep moving forward in faith even when it is difficult

Psalm 34:8-10~Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

God wants us to experience His goodness for ourselves by trusting Him. When we respect and seek the Lord, He promises to take care of our needs, even when others who seem strong or capable may lack. The idea is to trust God in everyday situations, pray first, depend on Him instead of worrying, and believe that as you seek Him, He will provide what you truly need

Today I celebrate National Environmental Complaints Committee CEO, Ms. Mary Njogu on receiving such an award of honour. She is not only a hard working lady but her integrity has been recognised. She is among the few women CEOs in Kenya amplifying the gender voice. Congratulations once again boss, this win is for us all!

Exodus 14:13-14~Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see them again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

When fear closes in and the way forward seems impossible, God calls us to stand firm and trust His saving power. As Israel faced the Red Sea with the enemy behind them, Moses’ words reveal a profound truth: deliverance belongs to the Lord, not to our striving. God fights for His people while they learn to be still, quieting panic, resisting despair, and choosing faith over fear. We should learn to pause in moments of pressure and surrender control to God, trusting that He is already at work on our behalf. Instead of reacting in anxiety, we are invited to stand in faith, remain obedient, and watch God make a way where none seems possible

1 Peter 1:17-19~Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect

Our faith journey is lived before a holy and impartial God who sees beyond appearances and weighs the heart. Knowing that we were rescued from meaningless ways of life through the priceless sacrifice of Jesus Christ should move us to live with humility, reverence, and purpose. This is a call to align our daily conduct with the value God has placed on us, rejecting careless or sinful patterns, choosing obedience over convenience, and letting gratitude for Christ’s sacrifice shape how we treat others and honor God in every area of life

Isaiah 61: 6-7~And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named ministers of our God.You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast. Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.

God calls His people “priests of the Lord,” replacing shame with honor and loss with double restoration, showing that our identity and future are defined by His grace rather than our past experiences. This encourages us to see ourselves as chosen to serve, reflect God’s character, and steward His blessings, even when life has carried seasons of disgrace or disappointment. We should walk confidently in this God-given identity serving others with humility, rejecting shame, and trusting that God is faithful to bring joy, provision, and lasting restoration where there was once lack so that our lives become living testimonies of His redemptive power
