Early this month I attended a function in my home area, Eldoret. Oh my, this lady made me miss my late Mom. She was the life of the party. I felt a mother's warmth through her. If your Mom is alive, call her, visit her, spoil her! She is the most precious gift God has given you!

James 4:11-12~Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you who are you to judge your neighbor?

James reminds us not to speak evil or judge one another, for there is only one Lawgiver and Judge, God Himself, who alone has the power to save and destroy. When we criticize or condemn others, we step into God’s rightful place and forget our own need for mercy. Instead of tearing others down, we are called to build them up and trust God’s justice to prevail.

Today, choose to guard your words and your heart when tempted to gossip, criticize, or compare, pause and pray for grace to see others through God’s eyes. Let humility guide your speech, remembering that your role is to love, not to judge, and that honoring others with your words honors the One who judges rightly

Psalm 3:3-6~But you, Lord, are a shield around me,my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.

David declares his confidence in God’s protection even while surrounded by enemies. He calls the Lord his shield, glory, and the lifter of his head, showing that his security does not rest in circumstances but in God’s steadfast presence. Even when fear and threats press in, David finds peace enough to lie down and sleep, trusting that God sustains him.

This passage reminds us to anchor our peace in God’s protection rather than our own strength. When anxiety, opposition, or uncertainty threaten to overwhelm us, we can call upon the Lord who surrounds us like a shield. Just as David rested in God’s care amid danger, we too can find calm assurance knowing that God watches over us and will lift our heads high above every fear and challenge

1 Corinthians 15:58~Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

We are reminded that our efforts for God are never wasted, even when results seem unseen or discouragement sets in. Because Christ’s resurrection guarantees victory over sin and death, we can serve with unwavering faith and endurance. No act of kindness, prayer, or obedience goes unnoticed by God.
Today, let this truth anchor your heart, stand firm in your convictions, refuse to be shaken by challenges, and pour yourself into God’s work with joy and consistency, trusting that He will bring eternal fruit from every faithful effort

Mark 11:23-25~Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

In this passage, Jesus reminds us of the extraordinary power of faith and the essential link between faith, prayer, and forgiveness. He teaches that when we truly believe, without doubting in our hearts, our prayers can move even the “mountains” in our lives, those seemingly impossible obstacles that stand in the way of God’s purposes. Yet, faith is not only about asking boldly; it’s also about maintaining a clean heart. Jesus calls us to forgive others when we pray so that our relationship with God remains unhindered.
Today, let us approach God with unwavering faith, speaking His promises over our circumstances instead of our fears. As we pray, let’s examine our hearts, releasing resentment, forgiving those who’ve wronged us, and trusting that God hears and responds to sincere, faith-filled prayers.

Psalm 150

1 Praise the Lord.[a]

Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
4 praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.

6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.

This is a joyful call for all creation to praise the Lord with every breath and every means available. It reminds us that worship is not confined to a place, time, or instrument—it is a lifestyle response to God’s greatness and goodness. Today, let this psalm inspire you to turn your heart toward gratitude and adoration. Whether through song, prayer, acts of kindness, or quiet reflection, let everything you do be an offering of praise. As you go through your day, consciously acknowledge God’s presence in your work, conversations, and decisions. Let praise flow naturally from your heart, and invite others to join you in recognizing the beauty and majesty of our Creator.
