LawAfrica’s Group Managing Director, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗴𝗶𝗴𝗶, paid a courtesy visit to the State Law Office, where he met with Deputy Solicitor General, Madam Pauline Mcharo.

Did you know? Under Section 12 of the Kenyan Penal Code, a person is not criminally responsible for an act or omission if, at the time, their mind is affected by disease to the extent that they cannot understand what they are doing or know that it is wrong.

This provision forms the basis of the defence of insanity in Kenyan criminal law — where justice meets compassion through the law.
