Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has now alleged that Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai grabbed a piece of land in Runda belonging to an Asian family, claiming that he later helped restore the property to its rightful owner.
According to Sonko, there are receipts and other pieces of evidence showing how the property was allegedly taken over. He further claims that the owner was chased away from his own property before seeking assistance.
Sonko says that after being approached for help, he connected the owner with his lawyer, Harrison Kinyanjui. He alleges that through the courts, they obtained orders, evicted the occupants, and restored the property to the Asian family.
“Whether I am in office or illegally impeached, I will never allow land grabbing or the oppression of innocent property owners. Every Kenyan deserves the right to enjoy their property in peace,” Sonko stated.
He also claims to have additional evidence allegedly showing demands for millions of shillings from the property's owner, concluding with the remark: “Wacha aendelee na mdomo.”👀
