The Silent Struggles of NFD: A Call for Change
The Northern Frontier District (NFD) has long been a part of our nation, but sadly, it remains one of the most neglected regions when it comes to development. Decades have passed, yet our basic needs are still unmet. We face a daily struggle for essentials like clean water, proper roads, reliable transport, and decent healthcare. Our people walk long distances just to access water, and our roads are in poor condition, making transportation expensive and dangerous. These are not luxuries—we are simply asking for the basics that every citizen deserves.
Despite our resilience and potential, we continue to be left behind. The young generation, full of ideas, energy, and dreams, is being wasted. These are the future leaders, doctors, teachers, and innovators of tomorrow, yet today, they suffer in silence with no support or investment. Education is underfunded, youth unemployment is high, and opportunities are few and far between.
Our leaders, the very people elected to serve us, have turned their backs on the common citizen. They only listen to those with money and power. The poor are ignored, their voices unheard. The youth are sidelined, their hopes dimmed. We do not see development—we see delay. We do not feel included—we feel abandoned.
We call for action. We call for equality, respect, and fair development. We deserve roads that connect us, clean water that sustains us, schools that uplift us, and leaders who represent all of us—not just the wealthy few.
It’s time to rise and speak out. NFD is part of this nation, and we deserve better
