Kenya rugby union get into rugby girls specific Eastern region , regional 7s a side festivals was a great success with 16 girls schools taking part. This was the first girls 7 a side festival edition to beheld in that region since the start of girls rugby festivals 3 years ago. It also marked the first time 2 teams from the same region were going to the national festival. Its exciting to note that where this 2 teams come from has strict cultural and religious norms that restrict girls from playing, thus this marked the first two girls teams to break this barrier.
