I have been reflecting a lot about motivation and leadership, and one idea that keeps challenging me is the 10X Rule. It simply means that if I want to achieve something meaningful, the level of effort I put in should be far greater than what I initially think is required. Real progress rarely comes from doing the minimum; it comes from consistent and massive action.
In my journey, I have realized that leadership is not about titles or recognition. It is about responsibility. It is about showing up every day with commitment, even when the work is difficult and the results are not immediate. The 10X mindset reminds me that if I want to create impact, I cannot operate at an average level of effort. I must think bigger, work harder, and remain consistent.
As a young person passionate about health advocacy and creating awareness around nutrition and non-communicable diseases, I understand that ideas alone are not enough. Systems change when people are willing to go beyond what is expected. That means speaking up more, learning more, collaborating more, and taking action even when progress feels slow.
For me, the 10X Rule is not just about working harder. It is about believing that the change we want to see in our communities requires greater commitment than we sometimes imagine. Leadership therefore becomes a daily decision to do more, learn more, and contribute more than what is comfortable.
Because in the end, small effort creates small results, but consistent 10X effort has the power to create real transformation.
