How Ruto’s slapped luos.
President William Ruto’s attack on former President Uhuru Kenyatta during his Siaya tour has backfired badly.
According to a confidential statement from leaders in the region who are part of the broad-based government, the attack has angered many locals, who feel the remarks were ironic because they were directed at Uhuru, who had supported the late Luo political kingpin, Raila Odinga.
Just have a thought about Ruto’s words:
“Uhuru hajani-support, nilim-support miaka kumi, lakini akaniacha 2022.”
Now ask yourself: If Uhuru is a bad person because he did not support Ruto, who did Uhuru support?
Was it not the Luo political kingpin, the late Raila Odinga?
Why did this attack backfire?
It has emerged that many Luo people now feel that Uhuru was actually good to them because he supported Raila instead.
Who advises Ruto?
How can you tell Luo people that Uhuru is a bad person simply because he supported Raila?
Were you attacking Uhuru, or were you indirectly attacking the Luo nation?
Then ask yourself: Who is the darling of the Luo people between Uhuru and Ruto?
Remember, when Uhuru supported Raila, Ruto was the one calling Raila “Mg’ang’a,” “wazimu,” “mtu wa vitendawili,” and other harsh names.
But wait.
When Ruto attacked Uhuru in Siaya, the people jeered at Ruto.
My Luo friends, that was your slap in the face—not Uhuru’s.

“Ni Hayo Machache Kutoka Sponyo…” Uhuru Kenyatta Embraces Ruto’s New Nickname for Him
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has appeared to embrace the nickname “Sponyo” recently coined by President William Ruto, turning it into a moment of humour during a funeral gathering in Kiharu Constituency on Friday, September 18, 2026.
Speaking to mourners, Uhuru joked about the growing political sensitivity surrounding his public remarks, saying that life had become “quite dangerous” because the media could misinterpret his words.
He therefore said he had decided to read his prepared condolence message instead of speaking off the cuff, as he normally does.
After delivering his remarks, Uhuru left the mourners laughing when he concluded:
“Ni hayo machache kutoka Sponyo. We will meet again and we will continue working together.”
The “Sponyo” nickname was coined by President William Ruto during his recent political attacks against Uhuru and the Linda Mwananchi movement, which Ruto has repeatedly accused Uhuru of sponsoring.
Uhuru was accompanied by former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro. Both leaders also addressed the gathering, with Matiang’i making remarks about political leadership and Nyoro outlining his vision for the country.
The light-hearted response from Uhuru comes amid renewed political exchanges between him and Ruto as Kenya heads toward the 2027 General Election.

He is delivering insults instead of development.
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta warned Kenyans about William Ruto ahead of the 2022 General Election, urging them not to elect him. In August 2022, Uhuru went as far as warning his Mount Kenya supporters that they would regret electing Ruto.
However, many people, especially in Mount Kenya, did not listen.
Why?
Ruto presented himself as a friend of Mount Kenya, even learning Kikuyu words and repeatedly appealing to the region's voters.
In fact, he also attacked Uhuru politically during the 2022 campaign, while Uhuru endorsed Raila Odinga.
Now Kenyans can see who Ruto is.
Instead of delivering on his promises, Ruto now appears to be spending much of his political energy attacking Uhuru Kenyatta day and night.
This is the president who looks increasingly fatigued, and instead of delivering what he promised, he continues to blame Uhuru.
But how is Uhuru affecting Ruto's promises?
Again, if you accuse Uhuru and the entire opposition leadership of having no brains and no plans, and you say you will defeat them badly, then why worry?
If you do not fear their unity, why not simply wait and see what happens at the ballot?
What Ruto should be reminded of is that what happened in the Ol Kalou by-election could be a warning of what may happen in the next General Election.
It will not be Ruto versus Uhuru or Ruto versus the United Opposition.
It will be Ruto versus angry and tired Kenyans.

So, is this an idea of stealing votes?
The reference and claim made by UDA Secretary-General Omar Hassan that they will use fingerprints from dead voters to help William Ruto secure re-election is something that goes against the biblical teaching that God is the God of the living, not the dead.
“He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
Matthew 22:32
What Omar Hassan is relying on goes against God’s teaching, which could mean that instead of trusting God and living voters, Omar is claiming that dead voters will help solve William Ruto’s re-election crisis.
All this might simply mean that the regime is desperate.
They do not trust the living, but the dead.
Could this signal the fall of the William Ruto regime?
Remember, even Ruto himself has not denied Omar Hassan’s claim.
So, is this an idea of stealing votes?
While all these serious allegations of possible election malpractice are being raised, IEBC appears to be comfortably relaxing at its Anniversary Towers offices.
Could they know something we do not know?
If the answer is yes, they must be warned that such actions could put the country at risk of serious instability.

Many feared dead.
A Kinatwa Sacco Nissan has reportedly been involved in a serious road accident along the Nairobi–Mombasa Road at Kapiti Plains.
The accident is reported to have resulted in fatalities, with an unknown number of people feared dead.
The extent of the injuries and the exact number of casualties remain unclear as emergency responders and authorities assess the situation.

SAD NEWS:
All five babies born to a woman from Juja, Kiambu County, have died, according to the latest reports from Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
Mercy Kanini, 28, gave birth to five babies—four girls and a boy—at Thika Level Five Hospital in a rare quintuplet delivery.
The babies were born extremely prematurely and weighed between about 600 and 800 grammes. They were later transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital for specialised neonatal care.
Four of the babies died after being admitted to KNH.
The last surviving baby, a boy who had remained under specialised care at KNH, has now also died, bringing the number of deaths to all five newborns.
The heartbreaking development has turned what began as a rare and joyful birth into a devastating tragedy for Kanini and her family.
The family is now mourning the loss of all five children.

Kindiki's last option.
As the political scene continues to unfold, Kenyans are left wondering whether Deputy President Kithure Kindiki’s time with President William Ruto is up.
Insiders have it that there is a strong possibility of Ruto’s close allies sidelining Kindiki.
It is now clear and in the public domain that only Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku has been drumming up support for Kindiki to be retained as Ruto’s running mate.
Where are the rest?
It now looks increasingly clear that, after being politically fattened, Kindiki could be heading for sacrifice.
What Could Be Kindiki’s Option?
It is believed that Kindiki is a great friend of former President Uhuru Kenyatta outside the political arena.
He has recently praised himself for how he assisted Uhuru Kenyatta during the Hague case and how he rescued him as his lawyer.
However, that could have simply triggered Ruto’s anger, and Ruto has now branded Uhuru Kenyatta a “libel” and “gang leader.”
Kindiki’s Option
It is believed that Kindiki might finally leave Ruto if he is replaced as his running mate.
There is a strong possibility of Kindiki joining the opposition through a soft landing facilitated by Uhuru.
Remember, if Kindiki jumps ship through Uhuru Kenyatta, it will no longer be a question of whether Kindiki and Gachagua will call each other brothers.
In fact, it will not be a question of if, but when.
That could completely lock Ruto out of Mount Kenya.
