A big congratulations to all the 50 participants who made it through the rigorous selection process courtesy of our jury panel. We can’t wait to start hitting the ground running with all of you. is an Illustrator/2D Animator and lecturer with a degree in Animation from the University of the West of England. She has been a lecturer at Rubika and Africa Digital Media Institute (ADMI) for over 5 years. is an object storyteller living and working in Nairobi, Kenya. His practice traverses the mediums of street photography, 2D graphics, 3D modeling, 3D printing, product design, print publications and exhibition making. Show them some love by following their work ✌️and ❤️

Thanks to our good friends .ch. We are looking for 50 artists or creative practitioners to collaborate with for a new training programme on Augmented Reality (AR) technology that will empower creatives with 21st century digital and executive function skills to build their own AR content.

Open to: Artists and creative practitioners from Kenya (30 years and below will be prioritised).

Training theme: Producing Augmented Reality content without code

Grant amount: A total of CHF6175 is available as stipend for participants.

Join us for a two day workshop on the 16th and 17th October 2024 as we explore the possibilities of indigenous AI and decolonized technologies with Karen Palmer -Karen Palmer , AI Thought Leader, TED & TEDx Speaker and XR Award winning Artist.

Activities will include creative sessions, local visits, and meetings. Outputs will driveKaren Palmer next interactive artwork, explore East African traditions that challenge colonial narratives, and foster collaboration on the sequel to Consensus Gentium. The project aims to transform AI perceptions through an African lens, build global networks, and promote knowledge sharing in tech for social good.
