The colors of Samburu.
Bright against the northern Kenyan landscape, beadwork, cloth and adornment become part of the story.
The Samburu are sometimes called the Butterfly People, a name associated with the vivid colours and elaborate adornment that have long been part of their cultural expression.
But beyond the colour, it was the people, the details, the hands, the quiet moments and the pride in tradition that stayed with me.
