Two newly constructed classrooms at A.C.K Emmanuel Mundembu Primary School in Bukhayo East Ward are now officially ready for use. This achievement reflects our ongoing dedication to improving educational facilities and creating conducive learning spaces for all pupils.

Fully funded by the Nambale NG-CDF for the FY 2024–2025, the project stands as a testament to our commitment to strengthening education infrastructure across the constituency.

The new classrooms will help decongest existing spaces and ensure learners study in a more comfortable and recommended learning environment.

Earlier today, I was honoured to worship with the Anglican faithful at A.C.K St. Thomas Cathedral Nambale during a solemn and uplifting holy mass presided over by the Rt. Rev. Isaiah Obuya, the Diocesan Bishop.

The message of hope, unity, and love delivered during the service was both deeply inspiring and perfectly timed for the congregants.

After the mass,we participated in a well-organized fund drive aimed at redesigning and modernizing the Nambale Diocese Cathedral. This initiative reflects the congregation’s vision to create a more welcoming, functional, and inspiring place of worship. The dedication shown by church leadership and members is truly commendable.

This midmorning, I joined family, friends, and the teaching fraternity at Segero in Nambale Township Ward for the burial of Retired Mwalimu Fedha Kasanda. We paid tribute to a dedicated educator whose life touched many and whose service to the community will be fondly remembered. His commitment to shaping generations through education remains an enduring legacy.

Later in the day, I proceeded to Sibinga Village in Bukhayo East Ward for the final send-off of Mama Mary Odero Mwanza. Together with the community, we celebrated her life, her strength, and the impact she made on those around her. Her warmth, wisdom, and devotion to her family and community will be greatly missed.

During both ceremonies, I conveyed my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and encouraged them to find comfort in the cherished memories of their loved ones. May the souls of Mwalimu Kasanda and Mama Mary rest in eternal peace, and may their families find strength during this difficult time.

Today marks another major milestone as the Emasinde-Munyenya Village Electricity Connectivity Project officially moves into the implementation phase.

Materials have already been delivered on-site, including power poles and essential installation equipment, signalling the beginning of long-awaited progress for our community. This development is a clear demonstration of our continued commitment to ensuring reliable and accessible electricity for all households.

The arrival of these materials paves the way for line construction, pole planting, and subsequent connection works. Our team, together with the contractors on the ground, are working diligently to ensure that the project moves smoothly and stays within the planned timelines. Once completed, this initiative will greatly improve living standards, support local businesses, and open new opportunities for socio-economic growth.

Today, I am happy to announce to the Kajoro Community that as I had promised, we have officially commenced the drilling works for the Kajoro Primary and Junior Secondary School Water Project. This is a flagship initiative that we have partnered with the Center for Innovation and Development which is a community based organisation that we approached for support.

This milestone marks the beginning of a transformative effort to expand access to clean, reliable, and safe water for both the school and the surrounding community.

Central to this project is a modern solar-powered water system-an eco-friendly and low-maintenance solution that guarantees sustainability. Once complete, the project will ensure a consistent supply of clean and safe water for the school having over 600 learners, enhance hygiene standards for learners and provide safe water for domestic use to over 2000 households living within Kajoro Village.

Our commitment is to champion practical, long-term interventions that directly improve lives. This marks our second major investment in sustainable water access, following the successful drilling and installation of a similar solar-powered water project at Nambale Sub-County Hospital.

With the contractor already on site at Kajoro and electricity connection works officially underway, my office today held a productive engagement meeting with the beneficiaries. The session provided an opportunity to reaffirm project details, clarify timelines, and ensure the community stays fully informed about the ongoing activities.

During the meeting, beneficiaries highlighted key issues and shared their expectations regarding the rollout of last-mile connectivity. Their feedback is essential in promoting seamless implementation and addressing any emerging concerns as the project progresses.

We are steadily rolling out approved electricity projects across the constituency, and Kajoro stands as a clear testament to our commitment to expanding access to reliable power for maximum households.

Today, I was honoured to participate in the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) Speaker’s Roundtable Meeting with the National Assembly, held at PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort, Mombasa. The forum brought together national policymakers and private sector leaders to discuss strategies that can strengthen Kenya’s economic performance and improve the policy environment for sustainable growth.

Representing the National Assembly Energy Committee and the energy sector, I shared key perspectives on the importance of predictable policies, investment incentives, and innovative approaches that promote reliable, affordable, and clean energy for all. The session provided a timely opportunity to align legislative priorities with the needs of industry players, ensuring the sector continues to drive national development.

This engagement reaffirmed the importance of strong partnerships between the legislature and the private sector in shaping Kenya’s energy future. I remain encouraged by the collective resolve to translate dialogue into tangible progress- advancing an energy agenda that powers growth, inclusion, and sustainability.

This afternoon, I joined family, friends, and neighbours at Mungatsi to lay to rest the late Mama Faith Norah Auma Makokha, whose life was defined by humility, kindness, and unwavering faith.

Heartfelt tributes painted a picture of a devoted mother, mentor, and pillar of her community - a woman whose love and compassion touched many and whose legacy will live on through those she nurtured and inspired

As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her remarkable journey on earth. May her soul rest in perfect peace.

Earlier today, under my directive,my office held a productive meeting with the student leadership of Mungatsi Technical and Vocational College (MTVC) following their formal requisition outlining several pressing issues affecting their academic environment and overall welfare. The engagement provided a valuable platform for open and constructive dialogue, where the students’ representatives presented their concerns and proposed well-thought-out solutions in a respectful and organized manner.

Our discussion focused on key areas such as the improvement of learning facilities, access to clean and safe water, renovation of existing infrastructure, and the enhancement of recreational and cultural activities within the college. I reaffirmed my commitment to work closely with the relevant authorities and stakeholders-including the Ministry of Education and the Nambale NG-CDF team-to deliver sustainable interventions that will foster a more conducive and supportive learning atmosphere.

I sincerely commend the Mungatsi TVC Student Governing Council for their exemplary leadership, maturity, and peaceful approach in addressing their concerns.
