Grading and spot improvement works have been successfully completed on the Mungatsi–Katome (Bukadanyi Footbridge) road in Bukhayo East Ward.

Though classified as a county government road, we found it necessary to step in and intervene to restore accessibility and ease movement for our people.

This vital road now guarantees smoother and safer movement of people and goods while also ensuring timely access to essential services.

Feeder roads play a crucial role in connecting our interior villages to markets, schools, health facilities, and other essential services.

This morning, the Maende-Lwanyange road and Malanga Primary School road-county government roads-were handed over to the contractor for dozing, grading and spot improvement

At the same time, other county government roads currently undergoing routine maintenance include: Pristine-Nambale Urban, Elwanikha-Makaka, Lelekwe-Makale, Makale-Mabunge,Nambale NG-CDF-Maduwa, and Musokoto-Kaludeka roads.

Already completed County Government roads are: Emakina Junction-Busakadi, Emakina Primary-Namahindi Primary, Karungu-Elwanikha, and Mungatsi-Katome roads.

Even though these roads are not directly under my jurisdiction, I took the initiative to facilitate their maintenance in order to enhance mobility, open up our villages, and ensure that residents can access essential services without disruption

The once dull and unattractive Nambale Police Division Headquarters has now been given a fresh and lively look. Through recent renovations, the facility has been transformed into a more welcoming and appealing space that reflects the respect and importance of the service it offers to the public.

This facelift included the renovation of the five-unit police station, a project fully funded by the Nambale NG-CDF FY 2024/2025.

By improving the working conditions of our officers, we are not only boosting their morale but also enhancing service delivery as a better-equipped and comfortable workplace for our security personnel guarantees a stronger collaboration between the police and residents.

Today, we witnessed a historic milestone in Nambale Constituency as the Nambale NG-CDF Office officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST). The signing ceremony took place at the JOOUST Nambale Learning Centre and marks the beginning of a journey to revive the campus and gradually transition it into a fully-fledged Constituent College.

This partnership is a bold step towards expanding access to higher education for our youth, while at the same time laying a foundation for social and economic growth in our community. A Constituent College in Nambale will not only create academic and professional opportunities but will also strengthen our constituency’s role in the national education landscape.

We were deeply honored by the presence of the Vice Chancellor of JOOUST, Prof. Emily Achieng Akuno, PhD, OGW and Hon.John Sakwa Bunyasi, immediate former MP Nambale Constituency, who graced the event as the Chief Guest. I extend heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders and members of the public who joined us to celebrate this transformative step for the future of education in Nambale.

The construction of storey tuition buildings in our schools not only utilises limited space but also ensures the development of modern learning facilities that meet the needs of a growing student population.

This approach is both practical and sustainable; maximizing the use of available land while at the same time uplifting the standards of education.

At Siera Girls Secondary School in Bukhayo North/Walatsi Ward, the new one storey tuition cm administration block is now 95% complete. Fully funded by the Nambale NG-CDF, the building will house; spacious classrooms, a laboratory, a library and essential administrative offices under one roof;improving efficiency and creating a more conducive learning environment for both students and teachers.

Grading and spot improvement of Musokoto (Logir)-Kaludeka road in Bukhayo North/Walatsi Ward is currently ongoing. This intervention is aimed at restoring the road to a usable condition and ensuring our people have a reliable passageway.

Although this is a county road, I found it necessary to step in and support its maintenance as good roads are the backbone of trade, agriculture, education and healthcare and leaving it unattended would only slow down development and inconvenience residents.
