Tribes like Keiyo and Kony referred to the Nandis as CHEPNG'AAL. However, I have never heard of the Nandis referring themselves as CHEPNG'AAL. Not in songs or Salanik.
The Kapkugo people believe that the Nandis were very cunning. They lied to their people, tricking them which resulted to Kapkugo people dying in a cave.
The Keiyo believe that the Nandi are very cunning. First they stole the leadership stool which belonged to the Keiyo. Secondly, the Nandi have tricked the Keiyo and at the moment, the Keiyos are massively being assimilated by the Nandis, stealing them in the process.
So, what's the etymology of CHEPNG'AAL? Is it from KEENG'AAL ( To lie to ) or from NG'AL ( Words, too talkative)?
Were the Nandi people talkative or cunning? Remember to follow Thunder Kicho
