Earlier today, I returned to the State House, Kenya, for a meeting with His Excellency, Hon. Dr. William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya.
This engagement was a follow-up to His Excellencyβs development tour of Narok earlier this year.
Together with the President, we deliberated on several key issues affecting the people of Narok. These included the resolution of the long-standing Sagamian land matter; specifically the Cheluget family land; the resettlement of 13,500 internally displaced persons (IDPs) resulting from the Mau Forest eviction, and the construction of modern markets in Narok and Sogoo.
We also discussed the proposed opening of a branch of Maasai Mara University, a significant step towards expanding access to higher education in the region.
Additionally, I briefed His Excellency on the upcoming Women Empowerment Program scheduled for this Saturday(Emurua Dikirr), which aims to uplift and support women across the county.
I wish to sincerely thank His Excellency the President for his continued commitment to the people of Narok, particularly for facilitating the allocation of an additional 6,000 acres of land at Kedong Ranch.
This meeting was critical.
